Interesting!

I've been waiting for a story to emerge in the local paper but nothing yet. Last Thursday a resident, about 2 miles from here, saw a box in the middle of the road. She thought it could cause an accident so went to move it.

When she opened it the box contained a WWII machine gun! Armed response police turned up, lots of police cars etc. and took the gun into custody.

Not heard anything since.

 

Well, if you remember there were stories about some of the Japanese Army still in the Jungle until 1974. Could it be that some of the Home Guard are still waiting in the local woods for the WWII to end?

 

Quite possible - but I think they will be coming out against a new runway at Stansted and the new junction on the M11. That's flaring up again.
