Is it edible

Rheum Nobile...If it is edible i will probably never get chance to taste it but its from the rhubarb family?
It looks spectacular x

I doubt we have the right growing conditions here,looks like it grown on mountains

Just thought it looked vaguely like a rhubarb flower stalk.

I'd want it tested first to see how high the levels of Oxalic acid are...

I dont have an area with good drainage,i read a thread on the net where people had managed to grow them but they lost them easily,Endinburgh botantical gardens grow them i think

 

Then create one!

 

Do they grow on mountains?... how many tonne bags of stones will make 4000ft ?
