Dave/Clueless.....In the case of my flue I think it's to do with the vapour that's released when the boiler is functioning, scolding etc. but it doesn't get hot anyway. The flue is on the side of the boiler room which in turn is so close to my carport it would be difficult to walk into it and it's away from the garden area. If I remember I'll take a picture tomorrow.

This is the busiest time of year on GC Geezer with the growing season in full flow, we all struggle a bit to keep up with what's happening so don't make yourself dizzy in the process of getting around threads. Later in the year when it gets quieter we then turn to the pre-Christmas run up and a lot of daft and hilarious banter goes on.
