My wife has been adorning the house these last months with vases and different containers full of daffodil bulbs of different varieties that quickly make a lovely show although only last about 10/14 days.

When they are finished (I have kept them all in the cool garage without cutting away the greenery) is there some way I can eventually use these lovely bulbs for my garden and if so when and how ??

    Many thanks - Cheers

I think you can plant them out in the garden although not sure when in the year. My gut instinct says when they finish blooming, before the foliage dies away, but not sure if right now would be too cold still for plants that have been houseplants until recently.

Just let the foliage die back and then you can plant them in the garden any time and they should pop up next spring.

    I'd plant them now.

They need to grow for at least a couple of months or more before dying down for the summer.

They are pretty tough things, and as long as you dont get excessive frost again this year they should be OK.
I doubt they will flower quite as good, next year, as this year, they will take a year to recover I think.
