    That's why I asked for a petal count as it looks to me there there are to many petals for a Rosa Rugosa,only my personal opinion ;):blue thumb:

      It was more the leaves than the petals which turned me the rugosa route, but, as always, I will defer to your expertise :thumbsup:

        I thought Rugosa's were only shrubs, not climbers? No doubt @wiseowl will be able to put me right on this. :)

            They are @Sheal but they can grow tall; the ones in my previous garden grew as tall as the back fence.
