    1. I wouldn't like to say it is defo a weeping Cherry or not to be honest, could be a could be a young tree growing out of control..

    2. Could be a Catoneaster..

    3. Looks like Weigela.. Not sure which..

    4. No I don't think bind weed will kill it, but I would spot treat the Bindweed on the leaves with Round-up or the like..

To be even more pedantic, is it not "Cotoneaster"?

I also agree with Marley on the identification and treatment of bindweed.

Just to be pedantic, isn't that ''spelt'' in British English?

It's a cherry tree - in nice condition too. Check if there's another one within 25 yards - you'll get blossom but you'll need two to get fruit. It looks about three years old.
            Thank you for being there!

No visible bugs or green fly. It's bearing fruit also
            Thank you in advance 2014-07-31-110107.jpg

Can be either spelt or spelled.

Spell it correctly - which you have done :blue thumb: :)

It looks like cotoneaster horizontalis, in which case it can be trained to cover the wall or fence or allowed to form a mound. Bees love the flowers in spring and birds like the berries in winter.

                    Welcome to GC @mommaperidot :sign0016:

For the record, the only stupid question around here is the one that you don't ask. There is great mix of gardeners here on GC, some experts, some enthusiasts, and the likes of me who just 'have a bash' - I am yet to see anyone made to feel silly here for not knowing something (nor would we tolerate anyone doing so).

I hope you enjoy GC as much as we all do, and look forward to chatting with you over the weeks, months and years to come.

PS we love photos here (especially @Jenny namaste), and watch out for @Zigs and @ARMANDII as they will nick all the jammie dodgers

Yes, my in-laws cotoneaster gets smothered with bees when in flower, so that might be a consideration as to where it's planted.
