Thank you Penny:)It's an original road sign,as are the others & Post too.....It's a shame these kind have been replaced with modern ones.
I've just been for a potter along the fields and through the village....
500 yards from my back door.
another 500 and we pick up the Cotswold Way footpath.
This is our Church. The builders I work for installed a new door in the tower and access ramp..
Here's another quaint cottage for Penny:)
This is our village green and high street..We have an Arts festival at the moment that's why the lanterns are up.
We have a varied selection of eating places...here are just two..English & Indian.
Anyone travelling into the village will spot this straight away!...I love it and am keen to get an invite in someday.

You have a beautiful village, i love the houses.....as i have said before, we have nothing like that over here, old to us is 150 years, and watching some shows on BBC Canada, it floors me the ages of the houses they show!!

The village path picture, i love that house on the right, with the church, is that the same house in the last picture??

The large house is called Austin House, valued at around £3.8 million, and not part of the one in the last pic which was built in 1775.

Lovely pictures Pal - it is a beautiful village. I am so glad someone has kept those old signpost signs. I remember them so well from the past. Woodstock must be quite a collector's item.

Thank you Peter:)...I did have a few more signs but trying to burn away the old rotten wood to replace it, the letters melted!:doh:I thought they were made of cast iron,no idea it was a soft alloy. The post came from a village just outside Bristol,it was lying in a ditch so I rescued it:D Woodstock is about 25 miles from here so you maybe able to work out my village location as the other signs are more local.
