I kept a fuschia alve all winter and the husband stuck in a hanging basket yesterday and left it outside. This morning it's all shrivelled and upset. Was it frosty last night ? Is it dead dead or can I save bits of it ?

It was too cold last night for tender stuff like fuschias to be left outside here in Surrey so I guess it was even colder with you. Give it a chance to recover like has_bean suggests.

I agree, I doubt that one nights frost, this time of the year, has killed it - but it will have killed all the soft new growth.
