I know there's a thread on kiwis somewhere but I couldn't find it so here a pic of one of my kiwis (I think it's the girl) showing off.

Is that the Alan Tichmarsh, blue fence, behind, helen. ;)
Flowers look good, but what makes you think is a girl.

I think Uncle Alan ussually uses a darker blue, this one's forget-me-not,ahh. The side and back fences were two different colours and this blue is nice and cheerful in winter as the garden doesn't get much sun in the rainy season. It gave me a fright last summer though, my ceanothus covered itself in so many flowers, the same shade as the fence, that it completly disappeared.

Sorry forgot to say,I think it's a girl because, I know it's sexist but it's just too pretty to be a boy and botanically the female ussually produces the larger flower.

Reason I ask, about the flower, not the fence ( which looks great by the way), is that all I can see is stamens and no stigma. I hope I've got the right terms, in other words only the parts that carry the pollen.
But then again I could be wrong. :D
