Lidl are selling Kordana roses for £3.99. What are they? Will they grow in pots?

      Good afternoon:smile:

Kordana roses are a group of more than 70 miniature roses bred by the German breeder W. Kordes and Son, a miniature rose generally grows between 15 and 30 inches, with flowers and growth habits that mimic those of larger roses.
Kordana roses include some varieties that are considerably smaller than the ARS standard for miniatures. Little "Pink Marina Kordana" (Rosa "Pink Marina Kordata") grows only 6.5 to 7 inches tall and up to 6.5 inches wide. The growth habit is upright and the flowers are deep pink. Peachy-pink "Cinderella Kordana" (Rosa "Cinderella Kordata") is a similar size, topping out at 7 inches tall and equally wide. Slightly larger "Daniela Kordana" (Rosa 'Daniela Kordana") bears red flowers and features the upright habit characteristic of the Kordanas. "Daniela" grows up to 8 inches tall and 7 inches wide.
Medium size Kordana varieties grow 18 inches to 24 inches tall and include the pink-blend "Honey Kordana" (Rosa "Honey Kordana"), which grows up to 20 inches tall and 16 inches wide, with the upright habit characteristic of all Kordanas. White-flowered "Ice Kordana" (Rosa "Ice Kordana") is slightly narrower than some of the other Kordes miniatures and grows 18 inches tall and about 12 inches wide. "Goldy Kordana" (Rosa "Goldy Kordana") bears butter-yellow flowers and grows 24 inches tall and 18 inches wide.
Possibly the largest of the Kordana series is "Roxy Kordana" (Rosa "Roxy Kordana"), with medium red petals and a stature of 36 inches. "Roxy" has a spread of about 30 inches. Slightly shorter, "Amber Kordana" (Rosa "Amber Kordana") grows 24 to 30 inches tall and 18 to 20 inches wide with amber-gold petals. These taller varieties might be grown in the middle of a traditional mixed border or dedicated rose bed..
Kordana roses were developed and sized for container culture. They are sold through florists and cut-flower retailers, but unlike some similarly-sized mass merchandisers' roses, work well outdoors. The smaller Kordanas can also be used as low edging plants in the garden. To maximize growth and flowering, position the containers where they will receive at least six hours of sunlight per day. Provide consistent moisture. Remove spent blooms regularly to stimulate rebloom and prune lightly to maintain an upright, open vase shape without weak or crossed branches:smile:

I would be looking to grow something in a big pot to mask an ugly drain cover.

What would happen if I grew more than one colour together in the same pot.

There were 3 colours so I bought one of each. On closer inspection I discovered they had been grafted. It will be interesting to see what comes up.
