I abhor price stickers, not just on terracotta pots but other items and it is a joke in our household regarding me spending far too much time removing such horrors ... t'other half has been known to leave them on DIY projects VISIBLE ... :runforhills: At the moment I am attempting to remove the sticky from two black plastic peanut bowls ... this is my third attempt with Sticky Stuff Remover ... :gaah:

Can't you just turn the pot so it doesn't face you? Wait until the weather removes the offending residue...

I'd love for pot suppliers to stick them on the inside! I guess they're more concerned with scanning quickly at checkout rather than end user.

Sadly for me Andy, the weather bakes the offending label into the terracotta/wood/whatever and then looks even worse!

I've found these labels to be virtually unaffected by the weather as regarding remaining stuck, the glue they use would be a god send if you could buy it
Why not put the sticker on the bottom of the pot and display the pots upside down.:dunno:

I WOULD like to buy that glue Pete as what is called nowadays Superglue is anything but ... in saying so, I glued my finger to a wooden cat's tail the other day ... :heehee: ... soaked off okay ... which meant it was USELESS !!!!

Agree with the theory that the offensive label could be put on the underside of the pot ... :dbgrtmb:

I dont like super glue either, it has its uses, but I usually prefer other kinds unless its a quick bodge job.

Try soaking them for a few hours in something like Ariel laundry liquid etc. diluted in fairly warm water. I did this overnight many years ago with some wall tiles to get the old fixative off the back, in the morning it came away easily. :)

I use "Sticky Stuff Remover" from the doorstep catalogue people. That's not what they're called, they just leave catalogues on the doorstep. It's citrus based but does leave the area looking slightly darker for a short while but mostly disappears in the sun. Cheap too!

I use Sticky Stuff Remover and it sure doesn't work here on Terracotta ... does on other stuff. As you say, leaves the area looking slightly 'not quite right' (changing your words there) ...
