Not enough oil getting to the Aga... finding the blockage will be interesting!

He can't find the blockage, I'm left with an Aga that's just barely warm :dunno::frown: He can't find any filter at the tank end that may have got clogged up (he's taken the lagging off and can't find a filter at all; the filter for the boiler is at the boiler), and if the blockage is between the tank and the Aga, i.e. through the house! I don't know how I'm going to sort it!:frown: Ok the Aga guy isn't official and came out whilst ill, but I'm left with no Aga. I want to cry

Just checked the lagging on the pipes leading from the tank, he's looked at the wrong one for a filter. If there's a filter on the outside pipe I have no idea how to even have a look at it!! sorry for the moaning... but I'm cold, have no warm water, and cooking will be interesting...

My green bin wasn't emptied again.....3rd time in a row. They haven't stopped emptying them for the winter either according to the booklet that came through the door. Getting fed up now.:paladin::paladin:

What a pain. :frown: Is there anyone else who can look at it for you? :grphg: It's no fun in this weather being cold and not being able to cook properly. Hopefully it can be sorted soon.

Don't stand for it :nonofinger:. If they miss my bins I'm on the phone within the hour. They come back pretty quickly or a formal complaint goes in!

I now have the direct line to the boss of the department :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

There is, but he's a bit of an odd guy, not someone I'd like outside the tent spitting in, if you know what I mean...

Thanks for the well-wish :star: it means a lot

Our old local council didn't have a winter collection for garden waste, even though we had to pay extra if we wanted that service... Maybe your local council has decided the same but not bothered to tell anyone?

No it's not that although I did wonder myself. I emailed them to report a missed collection. They asked me to leave my bin out for the next 3 days and it MIGHT be collected. If it isn't, it will be in another 2 weeks. :paladin: I will have to ring them as it looks like emails are pointless. It's really annoying.

MIGHT be?! What kind of answer is that? It does make you wonder sometimes why you bother paying council tax... hopefully they'll collect it soon and you won't have to wait a fortnight!

Thanks Loofah :) I've browsed that forum, haven't quite found my exact problem, which seems now to be with the supply rather than a problem with the Aga itself

Can you put Redex in Aga fuel? :)

                    Or will it blow up?

No idea. The tank also supplies a ye olde boiler (35yo Worcester) so that might not like any additives :dunno:
