By the way, the chap in the Three shop today sorted it all out for us, and gave us £98 off, as well as us still getting the £100 in Amazon vouchers too. He very rapidly undid the damage done by the Indian online sales department, which is good as we have not had a single issue with Three in the years we have been with them

To be fair to them, we have been with pretty much every other mobile network over the years with the only exception being EE - I overheard enough arguments that colleagues were having with them about their shoddy service and billing problems that I wouldn't even consider them. Three have definitely been the best so far, and have even stuck to their promise to have our daughters phone capped to tariff so she cannot overspend; most mobile operators will tell you that they will do that, but fail to do it in reality.

I must admit, I proper had the hump after the nonsense online the other night, but then that is probably my fault for trying to be a smart git and get it done all online and save a visit to the shop.

But that is the point, lots of people want to do it online these days, whatever it may be, why should we get a different service when we actually come face to face.

It makes a joke of the whole internet, which I consider as mostly a toy anyway, when that kind of thing happens.
Forget about online, just go do it at a proper shop, and speak to someone.

Aye, very true. I use the internet for loads of things (we use Amazon a lot for example) but there are still cases where you cannot beat to go to a shop. The guys in the shop today were really good, and despite being busy took plenty of time to make sure we got what we needed and wanted; he even took time to talk to my daughter and shake her hand as we left, which was a nice touch - many shop staff will talk to the adults and ignore the kids, which only leads to them being even more bored when dragged out shopping.

I got to visit my favourite shop this afternoon too - needed some white emulsion, so popped round the corner to my local hardware shop. It is literally an Alladin's cave, and what they don't have they will try and get for you. They always recognise me when I go in, which is nice, but cold be a sign that I am in there too often........

I'm at a clients property dropping off & fetching some work, I do this every week & have done for the past seven years with no problems at all. Today the jerk next door has decided that it would be a great idea to block my car in, he's reversed so close to my car that I don't stand a chance in getting out. If he needed that specific parking space why didn't he just knock on the door & ask me to move? Or just make sure he left me enough room to get out?? It makes me so cross when drivers can't be a bit more considerate to other road users!
I'm really tired at the moment (my own fault I've been working too much) so today isn't the best day to pick a fight with me, he might come off worse!! Rant over! :paladin:

What, £240 p.a. !!!!!!! :yikes::hate-shocked: Is it the latest iPhone or something similar?

I got 3x separate EE deals for both of us plus our daughter (a poor student), the cost of which was almost completely negated by TopCashBack, and that cashback was then converted to Tesco Clubcard Points (an option that's sadly no longer available) and then used for either 'doubling up' (something else that's no longer available) or using to purchase 'deals' at up to 4x value, so effectively our mobile phone usage has cost us absolutely nothing.

Hi @wiseowl - most definitely! That is a really hefty price.

Try the likes of Go Compare or Money Supermarket, as well as getting quotes from RAC and Green Flag. It is also worth speaking to you car insurance people as they often do breakdown insurance as a bolt-on that is competitively priced

Depends on your cover, somethings in your cover you may not use/or want so you can add or take away things in your cover
You can barter with them, we do
