Well yeees @KFF indeed I grow Betula utilis Jacquemomtii , Prunus Serrula , Acer Capillipes along with various Dogwoods for their winter interest, but not sure that any of these will feature in the 28! I hope they fair better than many of the trees planted in the regenerated area in Dundee, most of which have been broken or uprooted:wallbanging:

That's only quarter of a million per tree :noidea:. A bargain, unless you buy them at Shineyland and we'd do them for half that price.

                    Back to the serious side.

Mrs Shiney has had a lot of trouble with Amazon over her seller's account. She entered some more books for sale (selling them for the charity) and it locked her out saying she hadn't completed her two stage verification. She had no idea what they were talking about! She had put in her usual name and password but it said it wasn't good enough.

She phoned the helpline and they said that they now need a mobile number for them to send a one time code for her to use each time. Apparently people can opt out of this if they tick the right box but can't do so afterwards (the government are being pressured to make this opting out illegal and changing it to opting in).

So she dug out our old mobile phone (you may know the sort, the one that cost £2.95 and just makes calls :heehee:) put in the number and went on with her account. They sent her the one time code and it came up with a report that they now wanted a second phone number - just in case  :mute:.

Back to the 'we can't help line'! After four hours of working her way through five of the staff who couldn't help her she spoke to a supervisor who said that the to stage verification can be switched off (all the others had said it can't) but he wasn't high enough in the tree to do it and would switch her through to someone who could - and then cut her off . She called back and was told she would have to go through all the levels again as each person can only pass a customer up one stage. I think she 'lost it' at that point and told them what she thought of them and hung up!

Two days later she tried again, got through to someone who seemed to know what they were doing in only three stages. They said they would send her a link that she would be able to work through. She told them that they mustn't hang up as she will want their assistance working through it.

An hour and a half later! She supposedly was on the last verification (they originally wanted a copy of her passport, said it wasn't good enough after she had sent it to them, and then wanted a copy of her driving licence as it had her address on it - I'd removed serial numbers from them) and they said she should now be able to operate her account after completing the last entry on the link.

At that stage she got a report on screen that Amazon were having problems with their systems and 'please try later' :rage:

They eventually got past that and she now hopes she can use her account. I wouldn't hold my breathe! :nonofinger:

I have no doubt (plus I read you had :heehee: ) but, I wonder how many people out there do not think to? :dunno:
That is one heck of a lot of information they want ... especially in this day and age of identity theft.

I've told her to try and start a new account, using one of my email addresses, and see whether we can avoid double verification.
