@pete . get all that. the fat on the outside will not make it tender, its the marbling through the meat that will, and if you don't want that, then the best you can do is marinate it for an hour. that should tenderize it. The probably are cutting the meat different because people want less fat in their diet. Less fat then comes with less tender, just the way it is. So marinate it.

I've bought meat from places where they supposedly rear their own and to honest it's been worse than supermarket stuff.
Some bacon I bought from a farm shop, supposedly local produce just fried with a massive white scum>???

Best I've found for chops is Waitrose and then you have to buy it on the counter, not in the sealed packets.

I can sympathise @pete. Since moving back to the mainland I've discovered just how tasteless all types of meat is here, even though I buy British products. I miss the meat on the island, full of flavour and probably to do with the fact it's come from mostly specialist breeds.

The only things I fry are pork chops or eggs. I coat pork chops in whisked egg then cover them in breadcrumbs and fry slowly in sunflower oil - so they don't burn and stay fairly tender. Give it a try. :)

I just look out of the back door and see herd of bullcocks being chase around the field by Quad bike
I use to work for someone who made animal feed and haul the raw ingredients to mills, i left :th scifD36:;) and someone i know work for another mill filled my old job, and i seen him a few months later and said "i see why XXXXXXX doesn't make good animal feed because of what was going into the feed, rubbish (he use a worst word ;)) and he left"

Good evening @"M" and all my other friends I have just received this email from the Director at my Vets practice.

Thank you for your email. I am sorry to hear about your disagreement on your last visit to the surgery. The receptionists are trained to respect the data sheet of any prescription medicine in order to guarantee consistently good clinical results. As you had previous bad results with frontline, the last thing we would want is for the advocate not to have a good effect neither if under dosed; having said that, in this case, Penny is only 100g over the recommended weight range and as you have been made aware of our recommendations we are willing to give you a prescription for a 6 pack of advocate 4-10kg to use for both dogs.
                            > Please let us know if you would like to go ahead with this.
                            > Kind Regards,
