We don't have the problem, but have 47 dogs to 32 people that live here, we have a lot of dog poo that don't even get picked up but the taffic soon will flaten it out
it also will get mixed in with the cow poo and when the lorrys start bring in human poo as well it won't make much differents, just a load of poo :snorky:

Sorry that they are slightly out of focus as the time was getting on and the pony wouldn’t keep still.I couldn’t see the state of the hoofs because as you can see it was standing in mud.In the field opposite two of the ponies have rugs on them so somebody has an interest in their ponies...

It could be corse hay, but i think, looking at pictures it's more like oat straw

I have seen worse @Kandy unfortunately. Nothing to worry about re the overgrown forelock altho not ideal but good for keeping the flies away in the summer. For obvious reasons I can't see the hooves and certainly having them standing in mud isn't great, however it looks like they have a huge field to stand in but like ours:rolleyespink: they choose to stand where the grub is coming from ie nearest the gate! Agree it does look like straw being fed, this is NOT ideal as is very indigestible, can easily cause colic and has b all nutrient. The pony's body looks reasonable but difficult to tell due to the thick coat. You can only really tell how good their condition is by running you hands along the body and feel for the ribs. The type of pony it is (cobby type) usually carry quite a bit of condition and I'd say the pony was on the underweight side but not terrible.....yet. At least the fencing looks reasonable with no saggy barbed wire which I have witnessed causing horrific injuries.
It is a credit to you to show concern, however ponies are pretty hardy, much more so than horses, from the photos I'd agree not good but not drastic. Still another maybe 6 odd weeks until the grass starts to grow so if you can give them any spare carrots or apples (chopped up best rather than given whole) would be good. Give whatever on a flat hand to save nibbled fingers! Please don't feed potato peelings they can be toxic so best to avoid just in case..

I've ordered seeds, [6 January], Tomato Rosada from two different British seed suppliers only to find that both are quoting over 4 weeks as the arriving date. But both state/claim that they have posted them on the 7 January. It's now the 26th January and the seeds have still not arrived. Even if they were posted 2nd Class they should have arrived by now. So, are the Seed Companies just stalling until they get the seeds, while stating they've sent the seeds, and why over 4 weeks as an arrival date. I've ordered other items, nearly two weeks later, not seeds, and had them arrive the next day or within less than a week, so why so long with the Seed Companies.?:dunno::scratch::doh:

Did they give you an "estimated" arrival date, FC?? One arrival date I was given was the 5th February and the other was the 13th February:wallbanging::dunno:

No, just an email at 08:53 on Monday morning to tell me that my order had been shipped, and to invite me to join their forum.......

UK based seller, used before without issue (at least, no delivery issues), but even second class post would have been here by now.

Yep, I ordered 4 other varieties from another company, [they didn't have Rosada] at the same time and got those within a week. I'm just wondering if the other companies although stating they had Rosada seeds in stock actually didn't and are playing the stalling gain.:dunno::wallbanging:

Ah, see none of mine have arrived. I am not doing that much from seed this year as I can't afford the compost to be honest - going to be a few veggies direct sowed, and that is about it really.

I'd be inclined to tell them that they haven't done what they promised and tell them that you will name and shame them on the gardening forums (plural) if they don't arrive soon.
