On the subject of MOT's - the test changed in May last year - it's tougher to pass - particula(te)rly for diesel cars. I read somewhere that many more older diesel cars have been scrapped because of the test - so people buy new petrol cars (and pay tax to do so) and old smokey diesels are taken of the road (and help with climate change) - doubly convenient for the Government - but it may be me being cynical :dunno:.

Have you also noticed that the road tax incentives for low emissions vehicles are being withdrawn/reduced?

            Money, money, money.:spinning:

Google have just emailed me with their new conditions. Typically they don't really make sense. I'll leave out the bits about which country our agreement is now with - they've changed from U.S. to Ireland - and give you the stupid extract.

I think it was bound to change, it couldn't carry on, most cars have lower emissions now and with the higher emission ones being forced off the road, it had to happen.
Personally if you use the road, you should pay road tax, IMO, even if you ride a bike and cause total chaos.

I didn't realise anyone actually read that stuff.:snorky:

You know I always read the 'small print' :nonofinger:

It's one of my missions in life to point out to businesses and bureaucrats where they contradict themselves, set inane or impossible conditions, write unenforceable small print and generally make fools of themselves. :paladin:

My local dog-walking area has had the Council's tree surgeons out. They've done a good job on the trees but the tractor has made a hell of a mess. Driven over all the bushes that contained a lot of birds and wildlife. The field itself looks like a Sherman tank has gone over it.
