All you have to be careful of is when the lease has run down to about 100 years. Then it can make it difficult to sell your house. So when it gets nearer the time you can ask for an uplift of the period. We can talk about it again in about 850 years :old:

We've a Humax HDR in my "den." Alright....our front room. This sits under a Freeview TV and on top of a CD/DVD player and a VHS recorder/player. All controlled by a near twenty year-old auto selector, so whichever remote you use, that bit of equipment starts to work. I can also play the audio of the TV, on recorded programmes CDs or mp3s on a stick in the side of the TV, through my hi-fi amp and big speakers rather tthan the TV soundbar, but I rarely bother. The HDR has a huge memory and can record two programmes at the same time. It also has a wifi dongle, so I can access the router of the cable TV in the lounge, so I can get i>Player and YouTube on it.

Fine, but every time new channels are added to Freeview, an update clears all my planned recordings, which over a week can be as many as forty, I rarely watch live TV unless it's sport.
To get the planned recordings back, I have to photograph each page before doing the update, so I know which ones need reprogramming. The TV "told me," there were some new channels, a few days ago. So I did an update and re-programming last night.
This morning when I turned the TV on it told me there were some more new channels that had been added.

      Doh!

Does your TV add new channels automatically?

My Panasonic Viera tells you when there are any, but you have to click on "OK" to get them to upload.

Digressing, as I typed a new small e-mail notification window opened on my laptop, it was from M&S asking me if I'd ordered my Valentine flowers.

Bloody cheek! I buy my wife some flowers every week.

We have Freeview at our caravan and bloomin' thing seems to ask for an update ( rescan ) every time we go. It takes about 5 minutes to rescan the available channels.

            No :noidea:

Ours doesn't do that either. I suppose it might if I went into any of it's Smart features but we only use it as a TV.

The only Smart things I've done to it are set the screen size image, the colour/contras etc. and turned off the background music on programmes (as much as it will let me). Can't stand the programmes playing mood music whilst people are speaking.

Has anyone noticed recently how many different sizes of compost bags you can get that all seem to state the same amount of contents, "when packed".

I had a look around today, and it was amazing how some suppliers get 50 litres into a bag almost half the size of other producers?
Who is conning who I wonder?

I'm guessing the next problem will be the plastic bags it is in. :frown:

It's the moisture content. The wetter it is when it's pack the less volume in actual compost you get.

It's the same with oven ready chickens.

I could understand that if it was sold by weight ie. oven ready chickens.

But this is volume, so you can pack it tighter and it takes up less room, but there is the crux of the matter, how big is 50 litres????
Is it the size of the bigger bags or the size of the smaller ones?

Well technically, I think it's volume, if it were kilos, then it'd be weight.
