No I don't! Even a hardened patriot like you has got to admit that the French knew what they were doing, inventing bubbly  Visited the Taittinger caves about 35 years ago.....the tasting was very mingy compared to Moet et Chandon's :catapult: It does say a lot about climate change, though, that they're moving north. I wonder what they'll call the result?
Anyway, back to your baptême de l'air......go on, admit it, you must be just the teensiest bit excited?:hapydancsmil: Just so long as the co-pilot doesn't look like Ted Striker ...

@pete Good Grief. Isnt going in a plane with no engine as barmy as jumping out of a perfectly functioning airborne one with a piece of material on you back .....
Seriously though I bet you'll love it when you get there. Gliders 'fly' from quite near me at Ringmer. I hope you have a fabulous time.

I'm pretending to know who Ted Striker is
I thought he was a comic strip footballer.

I do know who the Red Baron was, something to do with Snoopy I think.

Thanks, I'm sure it will be alright.
I went in a single engined light plane from Headcorn a couple of times, the pilot looked over to a twin engined job starting up and remarked how dodgy the twin engined ones are, being that compared to the one I was in it had twice the chance of engine failure.

Bearing that in mind, a glider must be even safer as it has no chance of engine failure.;)

Just watching the two seat spitfire going over,..... one day maybe.

In 1940 you could have had a couple of hours and they would have paid you.
