Thank you, friends! It really does help, just to set it down, and then to know that people “out there” listen, and care...:grphg:

@Sian in Belgium Sorry to read you've been having so many problems . I hope things improve for you soon. Things seem to happen to me all at once too, rarely just one problem at a time.

I thought I'd have a moan about my car. Today was yet another 1st and 3rd gear only day my car decided, as well as a non reversing day :headache:. Which means that my journey has to be planned as to which route I take as can't go more than 40mph. Also have to plan ahead for parking as can't reverse. I got stuck in a supermarket car park awhile ago. It was busy, vehicles, people, trolleys everywhere and an artic trying to reverse, so I just drove into the nearest bay. I usually reverse in. Predictably cat decided that it wasn't going to reverse. I even tried pushing it back a little but I couldn't push it back far enough as slight incline on the tarmac. It was 40 minutes before car decided it would go into reverse and let me out :wallbanging:. What possible use is a car that won't reverse and dictates which gears it likes to go into :dunno:

Haven't you sent it to car training school? You'll just have to give it a really strong talking to, but no swear words, and see whether that help. :blue thumb:

I hope it gets sorted out :grphg:

My car is 15 years old and it's had it day. I need a new one but can't afford it at the moment, so have to just put up with it. I often feel like beating it with a branch when it lets me down :wallbanging:

Age is only a number. A good state of mind (and a touch of arthritis) is the age you feel. :)

From an oldie who knows :old: :heehee:

On top of all this - the bloke who was in the garage waiting room at the same time as me - he was 72 with a FULL head of hair...
