I have 2 of these arches - the first cost £30 a couple of years ago and the second cost £50 last year - this price was maintained for a fair amount of time - only fluctuating by a few pounds or so. Soon as we go into lockdown - the price rockets up to £150. Some call it price adjustments due to supply and demand - I call it blatant profiteering. The suppliers must have been making a tidy proft at £50 in order to maintain that price. It is this taking advantage of lockdown and clear demonstration of greed which irritates me :th scifD36:.

I've mentioned this before - my polytunnel went up massively in price just after lockdown - no other reason than profiteering.

3rd deadly sin comes to mind .

Since when did Crocodiles cease being reptiles and become amphibians?

Or maybe it's just that this one self identifies as an amphibian.

You should write to them and ask whether you get a prize for spotting the deliberate mistake. :blue thumb:

It's also possible that their information is incorrect. I seem to remember that crocodiles look after more than their own offspring. They are sometimes on nursemaid duty. We were told this by the local guide when we were by the river when touring Rajastan a couple of years ago. :blue thumb:

Hi Folks, this is not a moan but praise for a company. I ordered some Mortar Mix from Toolstation at 8pm last night and this was delivered at 1.35pm today.

Sorry, another non-moan, Toolstation are very good value (more often than not cheaper than Screwfix or Wickes), deliver items than Screwfix do not, and deliver free of charge for orders of £25 or more when Screwfix and Wickes require you to spend £50 to get free delivery, hmmm, seem to have turned this into a moan about Screwfix/Wickes.

Screwfix/toolstation is another one of those companies where brothers argued and one split to form another similar business. Bit like Grohe/Hansgrohe. Everywhere there's a screwfix you'll find a toolstation really close, or will be soon...

Present from the local yobs last night, pushed up behind my car in the driveway.
Not thrown it back into the street as it will probably be rammed into someones car at some time if I do.
So its on the allotment, trying to think of a good use for it.

Okay, I was totally prepared to battle mildew this year. Have two fairly expensive bottles of liquid mildew killer all ready to mix and spray. And what happens? I didn't get any mildew.

I'd rather not have mildew but I also looked forward to battling and beating it! :rolleyespink:
