        I had a small lump taken off the back of my hand yesterday.
        They stitched it up and said leave the dressing on for 5 days, then give it a wash and cover it up again for another week.
        Well its been driving me mad all day, itching around the area.

        I've just had to take the dressing off, it was totally glued to my skin, almost impossible to get off, if came off in very small pieces and left all the glue behind.
        Its all red and bumpy where the glue was, I had to use meths to remove the glue, nothing else would touch it.

        Where do they get this kind of stuff from, its still itching and I'm struggling not to scratch it.

        A bit of bandage would have done.

                @pete A bit late now but baby shampoo and a bit of patience will release those sorts of glue. You need to keep your wound covered to stop infections - no furtling for potatoes either.

                      Was awake for a fair bit of the night because my hand was itching so bad.
                      It's all swollen now and looking a bit red, doesn't seem normal to me.
