We had a petrol station in the nearest small town (it is small and the inhabitants call it 'The Village') but they shut down in order to modernise and build a mini Waitrose.

That was four years ago. They pulled down the existing shop and started digging out for the new pumps and tanks. Then they found that one of the old tanks had been leaking and after three months of investigation they were now going to have to decontaminate the ground.

They started digging the contaminated soil out and found a body! :yikes: Skeleton stopped play.

They've only just started building again. What are they going to find next

Drove down to our annual bowls game today. Passed 3 filling stations, no red clamped pumps and no queues. So is the BBC/media induced panic over?

Thanks to the Government saying don't panic buy etc Locally all the panic stations are completely empty. Fresh stocks are expected in time for Christmas. Wouldn't be Christmas without the odd panic would it.

BBC were at it again last night - now they've managed to panic everyone and their granny into filling their fuel tanks, they were reporting on a shortage of turkeys for Christmas.

It is infuriating - BLM, XR, covid, masks, schools/covid bubbles, vaccine apartheid, apparently empty shelves, gas, CO2, energy companies forced to the wall, petrol/diesel and now turkeys. In this past few weeks alone the BBC have been instrumental in seeing energy prices going up, food prices going up, fuel prices rocketing (and supplies knackered) and now they are onto Christmas dinner. National broadcaster? Domestic terrorism organisation would be more appropriate.

Sky News are appealing for pictures of petrol station queues and closures that will encourage even more panic buying

That says it all. They are having issues finding a long queue and have to appeal to the general public to help them find this dodo!

I agree that the media is the news, or at least they control what is front and center to steer audience thinking. Almost on a level of evil. Playing with people's lives as though it's a game.

Bloomin' superglue! :mute: Mrs Shiney couldn't open her tube of glue and asked me to do it as she couldn't get the top off. It was a used tube and the lid was too tight. So I held it in one hand and got a pair of pliers to take the lid off, for the extra leverage. Part of the neck of the glue gave way and I got glue all over my fingers! :yikes:

It sets so fast I didn't have time to get to the motorway to glue myself to it. :roflol:

Hot soapy water and then some acetone has helped a bit. :noidea:
