I was assuming it would be potted on post-purchase. ;)

Sympathies re your restricted diet. Me too! It makes life tricky ... and meals boring. Crisps these days are a nightmare cocktail of ingredients. :hate-shocked:

@Escarpment, this HWB was only 3-4 months old. I usually reckon each one will last about a yr, but I do fill it at least 4 times a day and it never ever sits empty and idle, even in a heatwave. Plus I do lie on it, which probably stresses the seams. Electric ones are not as controllable, temp-wise, are difficult to lie on and heavy to wear (for gardening, housework, anything that involves movement really). I would love to be able to kick my HWB habit, but needs must.

I was never a fan of bounty bars, didn't know they were still around, my favourite used to be picnic but they stopped making them, like a lot of the best ones.

It's very difficult to get dark choc Bounty bars. They come in a red wrapper. Better than the milk choc version in the blue wrapper as less sweet.

I love crisps and nearly eat a bag a day. And salted peanuts. And peanut butter.

I don't know whether this has been mentioned before, but orange juice seems to have got extremely expensive, all of a sudden. My breakfast staple is being replaced by pineapple juice. But I need my vitamin C.
I need to find a suitable space in the garden for redcurrant bushes - and then an extra freezer to store the produce.

One of my local GC's stocks unsalted crisps. The ingredients are "Potatoes, Sunflower Oil and with now't else!" They taste good :blue thumb:.

@Fourmerkland pineapple juice is probably better for you:

Pineapple juice offers various health benefits, including boosting the immune system, aiding digestion, and reducing inflammation. It's rich in vitamins C and B6, and contains bromelain, an enzyme that may improve digestion and boost immunity. Additionally, pineapple juice can help with wound healing, bone health, and eye health.

Orange juice offers vitamin C and B9.

The only fruit juice I tend to buy is the Lemon Barley water.
I used to like the original Bounty Bars but the last one I had was probably about 50 years ago:biggrin: The only chocolate I buy is the Dark Cooking choc. to make my own choc. sweets using nuts, raisins, dried fruits, coconut, glace cherry, marzipan, ground chilli, coffee powder ( not altogether I should add !! ).

Strangely, I like Bounty bars. The only nuts I really like are doughnuts, but I make an exception with Bounty bars - basically taste sweet, with chocolate.

I've just looked up about bromelain. I take anticonvulsants, so will have to get further advice from my epilepsy nurse.
