Tomatoes and kiwis are both good for vitamin C. Eating an orange also better than juice, as you get the vitamin C but also the fibre in the fruit, and less problems with the acid eroding the teeth.
I like the dark Bounty bars too, but they are not so readily available.
Not a fan of crisps, but I do buy the occasional bag of salt free ‘ naked’ crisps, despite the picture on the pack! The problem is that, despite not being that keen on them, if I just have a few, I find I’ve inadvertently eaten nearly the whole bag.

I like Bounty bars but even better are Ruffles. They are dark chocolate and have raspberry as well as coconut.

I don't drink fruit juices of any kind. Much better to have the whole fruit.

I used to be a big crisp eater but got very serious about losing weight a decade or so ago and gave them up. I've now lapsed a lot in most ways but have managed not to fall back into the crisp habit.

Not seen a Raspberry Ruffle since I was a child! My Mum used to buy them, loved them!

I love Bounty bars, particularly the dark chocolate version although that no longer seems to be available.

I used to buy them in Poundland, don't know if they still do them.
Just had a quick google and Iceland does a pack of 5 26g bars, £1.35.

I may not have explained properly @ViewAhead. It's mature height will be 4ft+ but there is a possibility I may put it straight in the ground. I'll make that decision when it arrives and depending on its condition.

My sympathy for you too regarding a restricted diet. Yes, meals are boring but it's better than the upset if we stray from it. You're right about crisps which is why I buy Tyrrells.

Just looked at the (nearly empty) pack of Tyrell’s Naked crisps. Contents are potatoes and oil (can’t remember what sort, and can’t be bothered to go to the kitchen to check) Rather ominously, it also says may contain milk! How the blazes could that happen?

It's to cover themselves Ergates. The crisps may be produced in an area where milk is used as an ingredient for something else.

A lot of flavoured crisps have lactose as one of the ingredients, @Ergates, so, as @Sheal says, the production line could potentially be contaminated with it. Better safe than sorry if you have a life-threatening dairy allergy.

Potatoes, sunflower oil, sea salt, may contain milk. No artificial ingredients such as flavours, colours or msg. Red Tractor certified potatoes.

Just read my half-eaten :yahoo:bag of Tyrell's Lightly Sea Salted....means there's half left for later!

Always look at the dark side of life (tu du tu dutti dutti du...) @Tinkerton

Sunflower oil... I'd be a bit careful with that if I were you. :nonofinger: "In addition to its environmental impact, sunflower oil tends to contain higher levels of inflammatory linoleic acid than most other vegetable oils."

Sea salt... making a personal contribution to destroying coastal marine inhabitants then, are we? :old:

No "artificial" ingredients produced by British industry? There go the jobs for the young...

And I'm so sorry to hear you only have half a bag of them left now- hope they will last all night. So sad. :dunno:

                          :heehee:

I like proper Bounty bars (and the ice-cream version, yum!) but the filling in the little ones in Celebrations is a bit on the dry side.

@Selleri sea salt has been made in "pans" along the coast for millenia. Sea water is collected in contained, shallow areas and then evaporated. Little or no sea life damaged. Different areas - Anglesey, Wales, Brittany, Vendée, Carmargue etc have different mineral qualities and flavours.

Agree about sunflower seed oil. I prefer grapeseed if olive oil won't do.

Ah, now, Bounty Ice Creams, @JennyJB, the last lot I had were subject to an accidental experiment. Got one out, got distracted, found it an hr or so later and ... :yikes:. It hadn't melted like ice cream at all. It had become a translucent puddle of oily stuff. Really gross. Not been tempted by one since.
