The one thing that I have never understood from a humanity point of view about the little boats, is that the solution should be obvious to everyone. If the boats are risking people's lives, and with all emotion and politics removed, then they should be intercepted and returned to the nearest coastline. Once word got around that boats never made it more than a mile offshore, they would have to find other safer trafficking routes.
I know this will never happen because the french don't want them back, just as much as most don't want them here, but the only grown up solution is to stop the boats and then sort out legal routes.
I thought the government was bringing in/had brought in, that illegal attempts to gain entry would result in no citizenship. I don't know if I'm wrong about that or if thats just a soundbite, being as it's so hard to send people back.

You'd think they had no actual crimes to investigate.

 

But they dont, as long as you don't steal more than the allowed amount its not a crime, apparently.

 

They could be investigating and closing down more of the illegal/fake/slavery Barbers/vape and fake cigarette shops and the brothels with trafficked women and girls. Or maybe a concerted effort against grooming gans using youngsters for sex and distributing drugs. Or fake applications for social security and other financial support.

All favourite activities and money spinners for all sorts of unsavoury characters.

 

Thought something was stirring next door, just seen on Facebook its the family barby, its fine by me, no problem, but looking at the video the actual barbeque is right up against the fence next to my back door, as usual.
Last time they used it it filled my house with smoke due to the direction of the wind and I had to shut my door and windows, they have lots of space to put it at the far end of the garden, but dont.

If I say anything it probably won't go down well, so its a case of shut up and hope for the best.
At least they have picked a shi**y day this time and shutting up wont be a problem.

Real doctors and engineers will be older than many of the young men slipping in on the boats. They'll have spent years training and can apply for jobs thru legal channels. If they come in illegally their qualifications are unlikely to be documented or meet UK requirements.

That said, there is one Syrian pharmacist who escaped with her engineer husband and young family and ended up in Yorkshire. She couldn't work as a pharmacist but started making halloumi cheese from Yorkshire cows' milk. It's now winning world food awards, creating jobs and using local milk thus keeping farms going. Great stuff, even if, like me, you don't like halloumi.

There are some that do and will do well, they are the ones we need to allow in, trouble is we allow just anybody in, I reckon 90% of them should be denied entry but I think its more likely the reverse.

 

Last night the fox dug up a row of my spuds lots on the top with claw marks, i know we had a rat but i didn't know that raty was in that row, so freddy the fox will be in good books if he/she has got raty but in bad books if he/she hasn't

I've seen a report that claims Hugh Heffner - he of Playboy magazine and bunny girls - refused to entertain Trump because he's a paedophile and his own brother has said it was Epstein who broke off their friendship because he's a crook, this after a propertry deal in Florida went awry.

He's a convicted felon, a rapist, a bigot, a misogynist, a paedophile, a pathological liar and a serial bankrupt with no moral compass.
