Why do you feel you need to take the slope out mate? It doesn't look too steep from the pictures you've posted.

I would have thought a gentle slope was a good thing on a lawn to help stop it getting waterlogged.

Since moving in 7yrs ago, i always wanted to make it a two tier garden, as there is at least a 1mtr drop from house to the back of the garden. The decking and steps has taken around 300mm of that drop away, as its a raised deck and now by going out further again and adding another 300mm in rise. For me it makes the garden look better and not so uneven. 2d pictures can hide a multitude of sins and adding in all the planter boxes, the arbor, the large man cave and the greenhouse. Has showed up some of thos sins from the past.

So its time to change that for the better, in my eyes anyway

As for water logging, theres no chance of that, the size of the rocks that this garden was built on……it dont waterlog even in the heaviest of winter rainfall.

It is looking good Jowwy. I think seed gives a better finish than turf.

the lower garden seems to have suffered with some agm comiing into the mix ( bloody birds and moo poo gardens nearby), so im raking up the agm so it sits tall, hitting it down with the strimmer and then going to feed the lawn and add some iron sulphate to increase the acidity of the lawn as agm does like a neutral soil to grow in.....

lower lawn will look moo poo for a bit, but thats gardening for you lol
