lawn moss

    Hi

    I have large lawn. There is lot of moss. any recommended moss killer that I can apply now? or I need to wait for spring?

    I use iron sulphate from about now, but it could be an underlying issue like compaction and aeration.
    Also, if you're chucking iron on the lawn(which moss hates) it could leave some unsightly patches as the moss goes from lime green to an orangy black.
    It's also one of the hardest things in the garden to get looking great. There is loads of info online showing what to do, when to do it and how, but pretty much it all involves quite a serious amount of time and effort. Once you get it right, the results can be spectacular

      It depends on the area you live in whether you can apply moss killer now Mane. Here in the Highlands it wouldn't be a consideration before the end of March.

      It would be helpful please if you placed your area in your avatar box. Other members can then see at a glance where in the country you are and respond according to your climate.
