Lawn patches

    Any idea on why I have a patchy lawn? I fed it last week, not concerned by the dark green as that’s the feed doing it’s job however there are parts that just haven’t kicked on and have small growth and a little browning. Picture attached.

    when was it fed Scotty ? ideally the ground need to be moist and its been rather dry for most of the country , I have seen this speckled affect before during a dry spell . Or its poor application what did you use to spread the fertiliser ?

    I would have guessed it was just a bit of damage from being cut short before there was frost. There can be similar marks as well when the grass has been longer and the short cutting reveals some less green parts of the longer areas of grass.

    Hi what did you use when putting the feed on ? as it doesn't look like a even spread
