Afternoon Guys. I have just completed scarifying my rear lawn, looks like iv'e wrecked it, but did get a whole lot of moss and stuff off the lawn, filled my 200lt bin twice, (off to the tip now) hopefully the lawn should recover in a week or so. I now have to do the front lawn, at the weekend I think, (about 3 times the size of the back lawn), will be using the spoils for the compost bin's. Then I think both lawns will need to be done again, Anybody suggest how long I should leave before scarifying again.
I purchased a s/h MTD V33 scarifier and then sourced a catcher for it, what a piece of kit, highly recommended, works great, but those dam cables are a problem, Will be on the lookout for a petrol unit, :)

I'd give it a few weeks for the lawn to settle down before scarifying again. Or looking at it another way another two or three mowings. :)

Hi @Snorky85. :) It seemed a bit daft to start a new thread for one question so thought I'd post here.

Can you tell me the make of scarifier you bought from Screwfix please? An investment I really need to make now.

Oh thanks @Snorky85 ! That was quick work. :) That's the one I'd been looking at on the site but wanted to confirm it with your good self. It's now £10 cheaper too.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm usually wary when using new equipment anyway. Screwfix are currently out of stock here in Inverness but I'm told there should be some in on Thursday.
