      It certainly feels it Sheal, took the newer stuff off the top, as the trees were stopping the water getting to it. Needs fungus to do its funky stuff, so have put the new stuff where the runoff from the roof will keep it wet.

      Not much nutrient in it, tannins, lignins, but a good soil conditioner, will hold moisture & the worms like it:dbgrtmb:

        Did you see on BBC news that unexplained incident in Dorset wherelarge areas of harris fencing had colapsed on building sites, police believe aliens are responsible

        I had a funny few minutes trying to connect leafmold to heiras fencing then, till I realised i'd built the container out of heiras fence feet:DOH::D Nice one Blacksmith:thumbsup:
