My trivet for fatty foods has always been. Getting the biggest, biggest, onion, its a white skinned one. I might buy 4 of them. And I cut them very very very thick in a disc style. laying those on the bottom, and placing the meat on top. These white skinned onions seem to be a tougher variety that don't mush out during a longer roasting time with the meat on top than the onion with the blond/brown skin. Sorry don't know the name. But this method has worked for me for years.

Well, Mrs C is going to have it with spices etc, and I am going to have baked tattie. I am not feeling too great as it is today, so definitely not in the mood to be forcing myself to have something that I just don't want or like.

How about curry @Fat Controller, that will heavily disguise the lamb. :)

Sorry to hear you're not so good today. Air pressure has been very low over the last few days so it's got to me too. It's on it's way up now and hopefully you'll feel better towards the middle of the week. :)

The canteen at work do a lovely curry on a Friday - nice curry and chips is a right old treat, but when that curry is lamb........ :bleurgh: Not for me.

I can't quite put my finger on what is wrong - bit of stress maybe, very tired, and struggling with the old 'black dog' (depression) at times. I'll be right. :)

Oh well, if curry is a non starter I doubt anything else will solve your problem. You could be cheeky and ask your neighbours if they'll swap it for something they have. :)

Aww, what you need is a good dose of Spring weather and a big hug from me. Hmmm....the hug might make you feel worse, scrub that idea!:biggrin:

ESP working again! I've just been listening to Led Zeppelin's Black Dog.

I'll be right once I manage to sort out all those wee jobs that need doing, and figure out new ways to do them - half my trouble at the moment is balancing what I can do in my head with what I can actually physically do; that, and everything being a bit untidy at the moment - chasing our tails a bit, but we will get there.

I had dinner early today, about 3 pm, Hot smoked salmon, onion, red pepper, pickled cucumber, mashed potato with red pepper, milk and loads of butter, not forgetting salad cream.
Then felt hungry about 5 so had a doughnut
About 7 I had a gin and tonic with cheese a biscuits.
Its now 10 and I'm feeling peckish so just had another doughnut and a packet of crisps, felt like a plate of chips but cant be bothered, but still managed another gin.
