'Thought for the week' in our local journal.
    Vicar of St Peter. Evesham.....
These days, about the only thing most people know about Lent is that you are supposed to give up something, usually something pleasurable.
Some of us go to Church on Ash Wednesday and have ashes placed on our heads with the words " Remember you are dust and to dust you shall return" It always reminds me of the story of the child who came running downstairs one day and said " Mum,is it true we come from dust and that we go back to dust when we die?"
"That's right." Says mum;"why do you ask?"
"Well" says the child" I don't know which it is,but I've just been looking under my bed and someone is either coming or going."

Why not give up dusting for Lent, just in case you interrupt someone's progress in one direction or the other.
    Just do nothing,once a day,for God.

I think that is great! :D
