Looking for hardy perrenials for cracks?

Hello everyone, I am seeking some sage advice on seeds to grow perennials for next year. I have just landscaped my garden substantially and there are many areas, e.g where raised beds meet a slab, where I want to sneak in small habit hardy perennial that can fend for themselves - aggressively if needed. I want to be able to plant and forget then have them crowd out competition. Alpine size, not necessarily alpine.

Any ideas for tough small plants.

Depending on your location and local conditions, there are varieties of Thyme which might fit the bill, such as these:

Erigeron karvinskianus will grow in borders, walls and block paving if you let it! It flowers from May to December in my garden and although it prefers a sunny site it will tolerate shade quite happily. It also self seeds readily.

 

Campanula portenschlagiana is pretty and will cope with some shade as will Soleirolia soleirolii and Mentha requinii (Corsican mint)

If it’s sunny and free draining some sempervirens may be happy

 

Another vote for Erigeron. A miracle plant IMO

 

Thank you all, I have gone for Cerastium Snow in Summer, Erigeron karvinskianus and Bellis Perennis Monstrosa Double Flowered Mix. Did have some thoughts on the common lawn daisy, I always hate cutting off their heads! I already have some thyme but not sure if it is tiny enough
