I think everyone else is right. Get a doctor to check you out.

In the meantime, don't worry too much about it.

The symptoms you described have happened to me. Like you describe, it reached the point where I simply couldn't make a sentence. I'd completely forget what I was doing half way through doing it. At its worse point, I actually forgot my way home and drove an extra 10 miles or so.

I saw a doctor. It turned out I was just really, really stressed. I didn't realise it (apparently you don't - apparently if you know you are stressed, you're not really stressed, so I was told). What was left of my consciousness felt fine (apart from being extremely tired), I wasn't consciously worrying about anything, but it turns out something deep in the subconscious, something wasn't computing, and all my mental energy was on that (without me even knowing - cheeky brain, it could have told me).

The GP simply explained that this was more common than most people realise, and asked me a couple of questions about work and home (nothing very personal, and certainly not what you'd call therapy), and that sort of magically unlocked my thoughts. I realised all sorts of things that had been bugging me, and once I realised that my thought processes started to go back to normal all on their own.

Still worth going to the GP though.

      " I reckon that I am loosing the plot.:dunno: "

See the council, and tell them you have had the plot for years and have no intention of giving it up, At least until after you have harvested your produce

I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. It came on suddenly. Couldn't even remember where I was (standing in my kitchen). It turned out to be a sodium deficiency. Sorted almost instantly with a course of pills from the Doc. It was quite scary at the time.

Sorry to hear of your problem Eddie and hope you get it sorted soon.:)

My memory has steadily got worse since the age of 48 and sometimes I can't even remember when and what I have eaten within an hour of eating a meal so now have to write down exactly what I am going to eat for each meal because times I have taken something out of the freezer and put it in the fridge to defrost to cook later and then have had something totally different for my evening meal because I have forgotten what it was i got out of the freezer.

When I mentioned it to the nurse at the surgery she was howling with laughter as i was struggling to remember the name of the suppliment I had bought that was supposed to aid memory loss {Ginko Biloba}She just laughed and said it was my age and the loss of Hormones and it is something that all women and probably men go through at certain times of their lives:rolleyespink:

If I have to go anywhere I have to write it out in large letters on a piece of paper or card and leave it by the front door as a reminder that I have appointments to go to like the dentists who are not happy with patients or miss their appointments:heehee:

I do hope you manage to gte the problem sorted and that you can get back to some sort of normality with your life:)

Oh and the other thing I have often thought of which it might be for all our loss of memory is that horrible stuff they call Mercury that they put in those silver fillings years ago as I have never experienced good health since I had a lot of fillings done on my teeth since a teenager but that is just my thoughts on the subject:D

If I wouldn't remember I would just write down every little thing in the same diary...
