loving duck eggs

    does anyone keep ducks? are they better layers than chickens?since ive moved recently to the countryside and ducks eggs are easier to buy( and tastier):) i was thinking instead of getting chickens(which a few neighbours have) id investigate the possibility of keeping ducks :D xx

    If you thought chickens would trash the garden then go one phase further with ducks:thud:

    They will get rid of the slugs & snails, but most of your crops too.

    You are right though, the eggs are great:thumbsup:

      yeah ur prob right ziggy itl prob end up looking like the opencast around here :loll: ..i do have a large patch to fill at the bottom thou which was y i was thinking ducks and it has one of those helicopter trees there so its mostly dead ground :mad: x
