loving duck eggs

does anyone keep ducks? are they better layers than chickens?since ive moved recently to the countryside and ducks eggs are easier to buy( and tastier) i was thinking instead of getting chickens(which a few neighbours have) id investigate the possibility of keeping ducks :D xx

 

If you thought chickens would trash the garden then go one phase further with ducks

They will get rid of the slugs & snails, but most of your crops too.

You are right though, the eggs are great

 

yeah ur prob right ziggy itl prob end up looking like the opencast around here ..i do have a large patch to fill at the bottom thou which was y i was thinking ducks and it has one of those helicopter trees there so its mostly dead ground x
