That is if I can ever manage to create enough space in the greenhouse to get them started! Its like day of the triffids in there at the moment

Six hours I was in there today, potting stuff on - - 400 litres of compost later, and I still haven't done half of it!

Thanks, I have a greenhouse so I'll go for it; at worst they'll have a good head start for next year

I know the feeling, it's 1/2 an hour of musical chairs with the plants before I can get into mine

It would probably be worth it if you could fit one in - its amazing how much growth improves compared with the blowaway[/quote]

I was using the blow away until I got the grow house I built finished.

Not as good as a proper greenhouse, but better than the blow away. My brother in law is doing a lot of work on his house at the moment and he will do the garden after there is a greenhouse in there that was there when he moved in and my father in law said he is going to smash it up. I have had a quick look before and it is a really decent one so if I can get it in I will be.

Well, all seeds planted this afternoon (73 of them!) into cellular trays - just need watering in later on.

How important is it to cover with a propagator lid or polythene? I realised after I had planted them that I had stuck them into the 12-cell trays which the lids don't fit!

Aww sugar - too late is the cry, I doubt I'd find them in among all the compost now.

I'll need to wrap them and make 'em sweat a bit

Well, they are soaked and they are covered with prop lids and in a sunny spot in the greenhouse, so fingers crossed.

Well, just to make up for not soaking them, I will invest in a bottle of Bacardi when I am out shopping tomorrow and soak myself in that as punishment.;)
