Personally, I would choose peppermint or apple/bowles mint over spearmint for tea….

    According to Google...

For healing and digestive relief, spearmint and peppermint are two excellent mint varieties for tea. Peppermint is known for its soothing properties and ability to ease bloating and indigestion, while spearmint offers digestive benefits and may help balance hormones, according to Healthline.
    Here's a more detailed look:
    • Peppermint:
Peppermint tea is popular for its ability to relieve symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), including abdominal pain and bloating. The menthol in peppermint leaves may contribute to its soothing effect.
    • Spearmint:
Spearmint is also known for its digestive benefits, potentially helping balance hormones and lower blood sugar. It may also reduce stress and improve memory, according to Healthline.
    • Moroccan Mint:
Moroccan mint tea, often made with green tea, can be a soothing option for promoting calmness and relaxation.

    How to prepare mint tea:
    1. Gather your mint: Use fresh or dried mint leaves.
    2. Boil water: Heat fresh water to a rolling boil.
    3. Brew the tea: Place a handful of mint leaves in a cup or teapot.
    4. Infuse: Pour boiling water over the leaves and let steep for 5-10 minutes.
    5. Strain: Strain the tea, and enjoy hot or cold.

Regular Spearmint and Peppermint, and varieties thereof are supposed to help with tummy issues.
I have certain dietary intolerances that leave me in discomfort. I had read that mint was supposed to help with this and is the main reason I started growing it.

Every evening before I go to bed I have a cup of plain mint tea - a couple of sprigs in boiled water. Nothing else added.
I enjoy this as a drink, but tbh I can't say I have felt any improvement to my health
