Now that's a good idea, cheap feed for the birds now and then. Bird seed is expensive now, never used to be as bad!

Cheap feed for me more like:)

I picked up some crumpets for 15p once. It was their sell by date (or use by - I can't remember), but if it's not mouldy and its not rock hard, its fine.

I looked at them before as they make great size pots for Dahlias :)

Plus the wife works for Morrisons so we get 10% off as well :dancy:

DOH John got them for nothing as they were not priced up
Others the price is 8 for 99p so intel got 10% off

                Stop confusing the matter

The garden centre I use hs a big crate full of pots that you can just take. They need a clean but last year I got about 8 x 7litre pots that I grew peppers and toms in.

I love those trays you can put your pots in, usually get them in homebase, then I can just pick up a tray if I need to move them, say putting outside to harden them off, instead of backward and forward with seperate pots. Just be careful as they do break easily.

                  Hi fc,
It wasn't me! I don't need to go out and get pots. Everyone brings them to me :dbgrtmb:. I just have to clean them out.

Cleaning pots and trays is one of my least favourite jobs , but it must be done . I fill one big plastic trug with hot water and detergent for washing , and another with a Jeyes fluid mix or bleach mix for a rinse . I usually end up as wet as the pots as well !
I see you use the old 99p buckets as well Shiney :dbgrtmb: Great 14 litre pots with a handle !
                    Just done a bucket price check ( us gardeners are a bit sad , you know :snork:) B n Q are £1.38 , Wilkos are still a £1.00 !!!

I had loads of builders buckets about 60, after some work done, I use them for my beans, still use the Morrisons buckets for my tomatoes though, as they fit in my greenhouse better.
As Shiney says though, I also have a vast hoard of pots, gathered over time. From tiny to huge.

Hi Pam, that's almost right :heehee:.

Those pots were given to me by various people over a period of a couple of months - together with about three or four thousand 3" pots :hate-shocked:. Cleaning them was not a joy!!!!!
