    My Father used to say, that a handful of washing soda in a 2 gallon can watered in would do the job. I guess it's the same idea as using Lime, just raise the pH enough as moss prefers acid conditions.

      Thank you @ricky101. I'm just going to try it on the back lawn now as it's become an annoyance to look at! I bought a large bag so will have enough for a second application if it warms up again!
