@fairygirl things are a little different for me as I don't go to bed. My normal sleep pattern is two or three hours a night and has been since I was a kid (parents said I was a bloody nuisance). I don't have insomnia as I don't need more sleep. :noidea:

So when I want to sleep I put the TV on, put my feet up in my armchair and doze for a couple of hours. Fortunately I have lots of things to do so don't get bored - except when watching TV. :roflol:

@Escarpment I'm afraid that for me the '90 Day...' just shows how shallow and or gullible many people are. The makers have absolutely no interest in a relationship that works. All they want to film is the breakups / breakdowns.

There was a really sweet couple in the latest series, Andy and Arrah. Andy has osteogenesis imperfecta, (what we used to call brittle bone disease), and Arrah is from the Phillipines. They laughed a lot together right from the beginning and ended up getting married - hope that one lasts.

And there was a 65 year old woman on the same series who was a proper character.

I've just started watching The Hack on ITV catch-up. Am 2 episodes in. Some great casting, but it's all a little slow. Maybe, nearly 20 yrs on, we are less shocked by phone hacking as we have become more aware of the corrupt links between the Met, the media and the political class.

That's a difficult situation for you @shiney, but if that's all the sleep you need, then it must be ok. I don't know how common that is in terms of number of hours needed. I'd imagine that small a number must be quite rare.
I can sympathise with your parents when you were little though!
I'm watching that too @ViewAhead . I can't make my mind up about it - the drama that is, rather than the subject.

@fairygirl When I was a kid my parents took me to a specialist in sleep patterns and were told that anything between 1% and 3% of the population don't need much sleep - rather a wide range. So that is quite a lot of people.

Leonardo Da Vinci, Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison used to only sleep two or three hours (I'm happy to be in their club) and Trump and Maggie Thatcher didn't sleep much either (don't really want to be in their club :heehee:).

I think the Orange one will be sleeping 'a lot more' before too long, if you get my meaning...
I expect many folk will be glad when he disappears permanently.
I know what you mean about not wanting to be in that club too :heehee:

It certainly is a high number. Very interesting, and not something you readily hear about either.

For all those bemoaning modern drama fear not! To celebrate its fortieth anniversary BBC4 is repeating Edge Of Darkness. Quite simply one of the greatest series of all time:love30:
