    Hi,
We planted a crab apple tree last year and its grown to about 7 ft and looks healthy. We now feel its in the wrong position, being too close to a fence and other tall plants.
So, whats the best time of year to try to move it, and whats the best way of going about it please? I know we will be probably taking a risk on its survival.
    Many thanks!

It's young enough to move successfully and the fact that it has only been in the position for a year bodes well, provided you do it at the right time when it is dormant. Best done between November and February.
