    But Pete, the deep,oh so deep red velvet flowers look so nice too. Ah well,if it's no good it's going on the back of the fire as you read this. What a shame... :(

    The reason its called a buckeye in the US, is because the "conkers" hang from the branches in there split cases, thought to resemble the eye of a deer or buck.
