      Victoria i will side with T'other half where thorns are concerned as they can really be sore,..worst of all when the thorn is stuck in the top of one's head,..i have had a few there.
      Bougainvillea i like but never got real close to them to see the daggers,..that's something i never knew :)

      For the past two years i have worked on saving a poorly Miniature Rose bush and it almost gave up on me,..until this year,..i dug it up washed the roots and entire plant with a mix of Neem Oil,..its worked enough for it to produce a bloom,..i have this rose for the past 5 years and have it in a Data Base,..its difficult to capture the colour but its described by some as 'apricot',..others as Orange.

        That is lovely. I've tried Heucherella but had no success ... too dry/too much heat?

        Beautiful colour rose.

          @Victoria ,

          I think you hit the nail on the head,..'too dry/too much heat',..i can see the difference with my Heucherella where they are in full sun,..the foliage gets very pale,..in a less sunny spot they are darker and stronger,..another of mine below in shadier location.

          Many gardeners have the Heuchera and Heucherella for the Coral Bells Blooms,..some like me have them for the foliage a first the blooms a second.

                Philip, have you got that Clematis crawling on the ground? Recently read about that and other climbers.

                    @Victoria ,

                    Victoria your getting like me :).

                    Nothing to do with the Clematis location but friends always tell me i seem to like turmoil,..i suppose its true in a way as when there is turmoil i thrive on sorting it out.

                    Purchased a new Freezer which arrived yesterday,..the only problem is they will only deliver to my door no going inside the house due to the Virus restrictions,..so getting the very heavy freezer from the hall through to the sittingroom then into the kitchen was a work of labour on my own,..no grips,..so i had to cut the cardboard box it was in but leaving the freezer still sitting on cardboard,..then pulling the cardboard along on the cardboard,..that worked out fine.

                    Plugged in the new freezer and waited for it to reach the right temperature before unloading the old freezer of food and putting it in the new one,..then another work of labour Duck Walking the old freezer from kitchen through the sittingroom out into the back yard,..this freezer has remained in the same spot this past 16 years,..too heavy to move it in order to clean behind it,..so imagine how dirty it was at the back and sides,..manky,..so bad i had to wash it while it was outside the back door,..no way could i take it out to the front for collection,..so that was my day :pathd:

                        Well Philip, all I can say is it was very poor timing on your part to buy a new freezer! :rolleyespink: I do hope you had a good stiff drink after and didn't overdo things (healthwise).

                        Lovely Hydrangeas. I had a stunning purple one once but it only lasted a couple of years here.

                          Hi Victoria,..that was a beautiful Hydrangea the colour and the shapes of the petals made it like none i have seen here.

                          Ah yes bad timing indeed,..i did make sure not to over task myself,..just kept below the verge,..i think :),..i really needed to have a Freezer with shelves and drawers unlike the old one a big Box Freezer,..i always cursed when wanting something at the very bottom of everything else.

                          Yep a few glasses of Australian Chardonnay 'Chapter & Verse',..mmmmmm very nice.
