              As they are today,..starting to bloom,..some of the cuttings were housed in the greenhouse others remained outside,..they all progressed at the same rate,..though very slow to grow.

                      Tigridia pavonia 'Mexican Shell Flower/Tiger Flower'

                      A very easy flower to care for,..nothing special care wise,..just water and feed though foliage may need to be held upright with a cane,..the bloom only lasts one day but is replaced quick enough with another,..saucer to sideplate sized blooms,..blooms vary in colour and markings.

                            Foliage from the Voodoo Lily,..these appear after the plant has finished blooming and are in an almost circular stem but never meeting at the end of the circle.

                              Though the unusual Voodoo Lily flower is appealing, I find the later leaves have an edge to attractiveness that the flower hasn't .

                              I do have the other one which is much larger , measured a full 28 inch spathe this year!
                              I find the foliage not as attractive and soon dies down.

                                @Purple Streaks ,

                                Hi Purple Streaks,..i agree with you about the leaves being far more attractive than the bloom,..a 28 inch spathe is a big one,..shame the foliage doesn't last as long as the other one,..mine are all showing foliage just now,..they dwarf my Mexican Shell Flower,..but a nice contrast.
