The garden is looking lush and growing so fast its hard to keep ahead,..plants that need repotting into bigger pots is always on top of the list,..roses that were cuttings but now need to come out of pots and into the garden,..about six of them.

A box? I thought it was just a small bulb? Hope it is smaller than last time so it gets through quickly and can go into the PO box. :fingers crossed:

Everything is looking fresh and bright. I am not sure who has more pots ... you or me ... could be me, will have to do a count. ;)

We have a Frog in the garden.
              IMG_20220424_193732.jpg

Yep,..a Frog,..i was lifting up some pots to remove small weeds and something moved to my left,..presumed it was a fallen leaf,..then it happened with another pot,..lo and behold a good sized Frog,..there are no ponds around the area of the house,..the river is downhill approx 500 yards away,..so where did Froggy come from?

Pieris japonica 'Mountain Fire',..in bloom and with wallflowers growing through.

                Beautiful.
We occasionally get the odd toad , they always make me jump as they seem to appear when I'm least expecting them! They seem to half bury themselves in the soil and end up looking like a stone!!

A frog, a frog says Foxy Molly! :th scifD36:

Glorious photos and colours. Maybe I can't get a Pieris here ... but I am getting a Photinia Red Robin which is close enough for me.

@glengarry23 I love how incredibly 'natural' and rustic-looking your garden is Philip, I've tried to achieve a similar effect in the past, but mine just ends up looking very 'stiff' and sort of posed. It's probably due to me always overthinking where to put things, which seems to ruin the overall effect!

Spotted mine today and grabbed the camera,..then gave it a treat by turning on the hose at a fine spray,..froggy just sat there.

I can well understand your toad making you jump when it appears suddenly,..i have a field mouse that wait until i stoop to reach for a pot,..then jumps at my feet.

                        Froggy.

Good choice Victoria,..very similar with changing its colour,..i had one years ago but it outgrew the garden.

Ah pots we both have a great amount,..yours are easy on the eye where as many of mine were something else then sprayed black,..paint containers/water containers/peanut containers,..drilled holes near the bottom and made hand grips,..ugly things but in a month or so they will not be seen as flowers cover them.

Thank you Wiseowl,..the paths can be seen now but in a month or so foliage will hide them and encourage one to wander further.

Thanks Nick,..its hard to create the effect one is satisfied with,..i am forever moving pots around to where i think they blend in,..only to find i am not satisfied with the appearance some days later,..now i try not to leave a spot where soil can be seen,..even planting Sedum on the surface of big potted plants,..i imagine everyone tries to get the garden like how its stamped somewhere deep in a persons mind :)
