Hi I haven't been able to contact GC because I haven't been able to go on Broadband. I have made many calls to my server and eventually they have sorted things out, I hope. The phone calls cost more than the monthly subescriptions. Has any other members had this trouble of connecting with their broadband or is it just the server that both myself and Rosa are with? Jazz

You're not on TalkTalk by any chance, are you? There was a piece on Breakfast TV this morning about people having prbs getting connected on TTBB.

BTW - I can help with piccies too, don't forget and theres always the instructions on the "How to" forum.

Jazz, your pics are lovely. You are obviously a talented photographer. I live just down the road in Mackem land. But don't get into Newcastle much because I always seem to get lost!!!

Hi Michaelmasdaisy I am with Tiscali and have spent many hours on the 'phone about different things. The trouble is your speaking to India and although the agent are very nice sometimes it is not easy understanding what they are saying. It was eventually 12.40 am when I got through to them and I felt more like a PC technician having been told to pull connection out of the computer and change this and the other. After that when I came to use the broadband I couldn't once again get connected. These calls can last anything up to an hour. Actually I started to do this reply to you and I was disconnected once again. I had to ring them and I was soon re-connected It is enough try the patience of a saint. I do no live in Newcastle I am some 10 miles east in Tynemouth but not many people know where that is - we do not have a football team - but everyone has heard of Newcastle and your hometown Sunderland. My husband when he was alive was a great supporter of Sunderland and when they went to Wembley I think it was 1978 I was up all night knitting a Red and White scarf and hat as he managed to get a ticket for the game

India call centres - tell me about it! I'm with Onetel (now aka TalkTalk) and they use them too. As I'm on DUC, if I want help I have to ring them on the mobile - 0870 number of course!!!

LOL - picturing you sitting up all night knitting a red and white scarf - now that's love in my book!!!

I know Whitley Bay a little - my best friends used to live there. Their daughter and son-in-law are pastors of my church in Sunderland so they moved here to help them in the church. They have a lovely bungalow and it has a good size garden front back and sides (!) and even a patio which is a real suntrap. Trouble is, though both keen gardeners, they're both in their seventies and not in the best of health - still puts my garden to shame!!!

Thank you for your reply Michaelmasdaisy. Living in Sunderland I am sure you have heard of Tynemouth but people living South of Newcastle probably have'nt. Whitley Bay is approx. 2 miles from Tynemouth and before you get to Tynemouth from Whitley Bay you pass through Cullercoats which is about l mile away and it is a beautiful coastline with wonderful beaches. We are within 5 mins from Tynemouth Long Sands. Yes it was pure love sitting up all night knitting the necessy clobber for Wembly I think it was a little earlier in the 70's when Sunderland were at Wembley. My husband belonged to Jarrow before we were married hence the support for his precious Sunderland. He would turn in his grave if he knew what was happening now. Sorry I am late in answering you but better late than never Jazz :D [IMG] [IMG]

I am in cullercoats it was a small village many years ago but since it has been built up.
both jazz and i are on tiscali and i have the same problem with their services not too good.
I keep getting logged out everytime i go say for instance into gc then back to check my e-mails i am logged out of tiscali, then have to log back in it is very frustrating and annoying to say the least.
