After a few years away and enjoying the garden I thought it was about time I came back with some new garden projects.

The original thread can be found here, this documents the very beginning

    My little haven

This was how it all started many years ago

    And here we are today

    Future plans are as follows

Remove the lawn and replace with fern trees, palms and a path

Remove old shed and replace with tiki bar

    All the best Bigbore

The garden is still going well and maturing each year. Only just got round to finally removing the lawn (4 years later)

Will be adding more tropical plants in the middle section along with a bench..

It's been a long journey! But I've enjoyed every minute of it.

Off IKEA today to see what patio furniture they have, also bought some pineapple lily's for a large pot that will go on the patio.

Finally some sun in the garden!

                IMG_20240430_203929_046.jpg

                Even Hugo is enjoying it

                IMG_20240430_204430_695.jpg

My main aim is to attract the wild birds to the garden, so started feeding every day with lots of feeders and also decided to put in some boxes

                IMG_20240430_204323_976.jpg

Then finally a treat for the patio and some outside entertainment

                IMG_20240430_204217_975.jpg

Next job is to harden off the ricinus plants..
Finish off digging the rustic walkway and gravel..
Finish off the shed border and gravel

You have done a grand job there. I love the tropical theme. Where do you live that you can maintain tropical?

I look forward to keeping up with your progress.

Many thanks for your kind words, I am in the East Midlands not a million miles from East Midlands Airport..

I have lots of plans for this year, so you will see lots more tropical plants being planted

Loving these warmer evenings, getting so many jobs done!

Started to paint all of the fences, pond, sleepers and patio planter box

                    Screenshot_20240502_204301_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20240502_204305_Gallery.jpg

Then it was time to dig around the shed and lay some edging ready for the walkways

                    Screenshot_20240502_204454_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20240502_204500_Gallery.jpg

Also doing my bit for the local bird population

                    Screenshot_20240502_204612_Gallery.jpg Screenshot_20240502_204618_Gallery.jpg

And finally I need to work out how to dig these up and pot them up without killing them!
