I'd like to share with you one of my favourite places. :)
My little meadow.( It is actually called 'little meadow' or 'le petit pre' on the map of our area.)
It is left untouched all year, except when it gets cut for hay once in the summer.

I love walking through it smelling the wild flowers and the mint. I can hear bird song and the stream below.

Our dog would once romp around up there, alas now he's too old but suffices himself sniffing around after the deer.

    Burnet saxifrage.
It is surrounded by trees, mostly oaks, chestnut and hazelnut.
There are lots of different wild flowers. It's quite nice to photograph them and then look them up on the net to discover what they are. I seem to have quite a medicine cabinet going on up there.

Lovely place[IMG]Well the one that you don't know what it is looks like a Geranium of some kind but also your Prunella vulgaris isn't a Prunella Vulgaris:o I think mabe a Mint of some kind though:sunny:

This is a picture of P. vulgaris I found, as you can see it's a bit different... although it more then likely grows in the meadow as it's everywhere:D

I think Aesculus is right, Cut Leaved Cranesbill, Geranium Disectum.

Fantastic, Mandy, absolutely lovely. Cutting it once a year is going to keep it just as it is, looking peaceful and beautiful.:thumbsup:
