    Glad you've sorted it Freddy. Bax is quite an interesting character. Although he was made Master of the King's music and still held the post at the time of our present Queen's coronation he was a bit of an old Pagan...and a philanderer (as, indeed, was Delius), and a great deal of his piano music was written for his mistress the concert pianist Harriet Cohen. Both composers were attracted to a sort of nature mysticism (even though Delius professed to being an atheist) and I'm not surprised that excerpts from their works are often to be heard as background music to gardening programmes.

    Thanks for that Jack. I suddenly remembered why I liked this music - my mother
    used to play it to us when we were young.
    Lovely memories...

    I keep trying to post this Youtube link and although it shows on here
    it says "we are sorry this video is no longer available" but if you go to Youtube
    it plays perfectly well. Anybody else having this problem?

    It says it for me aswell, it will be the link that youtube have for it that`s at fault.


    Memories are powerful, I was watching the old film somewhere in time and the same thing happened to me-it was a piano piece by Rachmaninov.
